Every year I order more than 60 dinner rolls from the bakery. Something about their rolls sets them apart. I genuinely only order their rolls! I recommend them to everyone. This thanksgiving I ordered some and they were perfect. Please check this barely out

I come here for the Avena, bollios, and green chile chicken tamales, so good. They also have a lime agua fresca with chia seeds that is refreshing on a hot day. I do not buy the sweet breads here because they are not worth the inflated prices.

I haven't been to Don Ponchos in awhile and saw the reviews that they make great bread to eat. However, I gave the four star due to the prices being higher than Northgate's prices. I bought 15 pieces of pan Dulce at $1.50 each, 4 tamales at $2.75 each, and 4 jalapeño cream cheese breads at $2.50 each. The total came out to $44.50. I get that inflation has made a lot of things expensive, but I could get a pan Dulce for $1.00 each at Northgate, cream cheese bread for $1.89 each at the Northgate in Norwalk. Aside from the prices being higher than other competitors. The service was excellent! The ladies were kind to my baby and I, and explained to me the prices of the products since I couldn't see the breakdown of each price on the receipt. From my perspective, I felt the place was clean and organized. I didn't see any food that was spoiled or left out too long that the taste is dry. I enjoyed the taste of the pan Dulce, tamales, and cream cheese to share with my family :) super tasty and it's a bakery close to home! I just need to budget better when deciding to eat out now these days!

This is our neighbor bakery and it does not disappoint. Champurrado is first-rate! Pan dulce is delicious as well, bit pricey but what isn't nowadays. Customer service is outstanding, ladies usually have a friendly smile.

I was honestly surprised to see 3.5 stars for this local gem. I will admit I have not tried many items from this location, but what I have tried is definitely worth the five star review. Starting with the pan dulce.... The conchas are SO soft and I love that they have mini conchas. The empanada con crema is delicious. I am picky with elote pan dulce lol it passed the test but wasn't special to me. Still worth a try, it's tasty enough. The bolillo con queso is NOMNOMNOM delicious. The cream cheese and jalapeno is great but mozzarella con jalapeño takes the prize for me. I also love that they have milk and different bottled drinks for sale, in case you're stopping by for a quick breakfast or lunch. I love that they make jugos naturales!! I always get the Energizer. Specify what ingredients you want, sometimes they leave out the ginger :( breaks my lil heart when they do. Overall, I think it's a great spot and will definitely return to try other items.

I order a last minute cake and they come out with this wonderful cake, the bread was delicious and the betún too, I also try the bread and I love it. Thanks so much to the pastelero who help me in the last minute.

Delicious tamales, conchas, orejas and all. My boyfriend has been coming here for many years to get his great uncle and him their red and green tamales. The lady who helped us was super sweet. It's like she was my aunt. Felt like family here. Definitely will be returning to this place for more.
